Record the timing and visible effects
Note when you first saw the leak, the weather at the time, and the dates of any recent roof or solar work. Take safe indoor photos and ground-level roof photos if possible.
Keep away from wet electrical equipment, damaged ceilings, or other unsafe areas. Do not climb onto a wet roof or open equipment to trace a leak. If there is immediate danger, seek emergency help.
Ask for findings before assigning the repair
Have the roofing professional explain the suspected source and the area needing access. Ask the solar professional to review the relevant installation work where appropriate. Keep the findings and proposed scopes together.
Do not assume every panel must come down. Request an explanation of whether partial or full removal is needed for the proposed roof work and how reinstallation will be coordinated.
Use the correct warranty route
If Sun Ray Solutions performed the installation or reinstallation, send the agreement and describe the concern for a warranty review. Our limited workmanship coverage includes roof leaks directly caused by defective installation or sealing of mounting points and penetrations we install or reseal.
Unrelated roof defects and pre-existing leaks are outside that workmanship coverage. Duration and full terms are in the written agreement. We do not assume another installer’s warranty obligations.
Define the solar scope and cost
If removal and reinstallation are needed, our published rate is $160–$220 per panel. The written quote identifies the panels involved, included work, and any separately approved repairs. Roofing charges are a separate scope.
Send the property address, panel count if known, roofer’s findings, and proposed dates. We serve DFW and surrounding communities up to approximately two hours beyond it, with no travel fee; scheduling is confirmed for your address.
