Start with the problem you need solved
If your original installer is no longer available, Sun Ray Solutions can review your solar service request in Dallas–Fort Worth and surrounding communities. You do not need a complete technical history to make the first call. Start with your city, the equipment you have, and the help you need.
Tell us whether the issue is missing production, an app you cannot access, roof work that needs panel removal, or a proposed upgrade. That determines which records and service scope matter.
Separate three questions before arranging work
- Who can access the monitoring? Gather the app name and the account email you use. Use the provider’s account-recovery process; never send your password in a service request.
- What work does the system need? Describe the symptom, last normal date, and any prior findings. A new contractor needs the current condition, not just the old company’s name.
- Who is responsible for any coverage? Keep equipment warranty documents, the installation agreement, and existing case numbers together. Ask the relevant provider to confirm eligibility and the claim process.
Hiring Sun Ray Solutions for new work does not transfer another company’s promises to us. Any work we agree to perform has its own written scope and applicable terms.
The most useful records to gather
- Installation agreement, plans, and equipment list, if available.
- Inverter and battery make/model; label photos taken from a safe location.
- Monitoring screenshots with dates and the last normal production period.
- Previous repair invoices, support case numbers, and replacement-part records.
- Any ownership or provider restrictions relevant to authorizing work.
If records are missing, list what you do know. We can review the request without assuming an unknown model, warranty, or service history. Keep the details together with our service checklist
What a diagnostic visit costs
A $200 nonrefundable service deposit covers the on-site visit and initial assessment for repair, diagnostic, and maintenance requests. If you approve repairs, the $200 is credited toward the total. If you decline repairs, the fee is retained for the visit and assessment. Additional work is quoted for approval.
There is no travel fee within our confirmed service area. Replacement parts, additional investigation, and further labor are addressed in the agreed scope. A manufacturer’s decision about a part does not automatically determine what labor is included. Understand service and repair pricing
When the request is roof work rather than a breakdown
If your system is working and the panels need to come down for a new roof, ask for removal and reinstallation. Our published range is $160–$220 per panel. Send the panel count, roofer’s details, target dates, and any existing system issues.
Keep the removal appointment, roofing period, and solar return clearly coordinated. Plan removal and reinstallation
Send a short service request
We serve all of Dallas–Fort Worth and surrounding communities up to approximately two hours beyond DFW, with no travel fee. Send your address to confirm coverage and scheduling.
Has the system been down for months or years?
Bring the last known working date, current readings, and any earlier repair records. A long gap in monitoring is different from a confirmed equipment shutdown. Plan a review of a long-inactive solar system
