Solar repair starts with a clear assessment
Sun Ray Solutions helps DFW homeowners investigate solar production drops, equipment alerts, and monitoring concerns, including systems installed by another company. Tell us what changed and which equipment you have. We review the requested work before confirming an appointment.
$200 visit and initial assessment
A $200 nonrefundable service deposit covers the on-site visit and initial assessment for repair, diagnostic, and maintenance requests. If you approve repairs, the $200 is credited toward the total. If you decline repairs, the fee is retained for the visit and assessment. Additional work is quoted for approval.
No travel fee. Equipment, additional labor, and any further work are confirmed in the approved scope.
Which problem are you seeing?
| What you notice | Useful starting point |
|---|---|
| The app has stopped updating | Check the timestamp and connection history |
| No production during daylight | Prepare a zero-output service request |
| An inverter shows an error | Record the exact code and model |
| One panel reads lower than the others | Compare the affected panel and time period |
| The problem started after roofing | Collect the roof and solar handoff records |
| My original installer has closed | Organize records for a new service provider |
A screenshot helps describe the symptom; it does not by itself identify a failed part. Send the timestamp with the reading. For a SolarEdge system, our monitoring and production guide explains the distinction using the manufacturer’s guidance.
What happens after you contact us?
- Share the basics. City or ZIP code, equipment brand/model if known, the symptom, and when it began.
- Confirm the visit. We review the request, access, scope, service deposit, and appointment availability.
- Review the findings. Discuss what the initial assessment establishes and whether more investigation or repairs are needed.
- Approve the work. Additional work is quoted for approval. The $200 deposit is credited toward approved repairs.
A first visit is an assessment, not a promise that every fault can be repaired that day. Equipment support, parts, access, and the work required affect the next step.
What to send before the visit
Send a dated monitoring screenshot, the exact alert if present, and a safely accessible equipment-label photo. Tell us about recent outages, roof work, router changes, or previous repairs. If you do not know the model or installation date, say so; you can still start the conversation.
Use the printable solar service checklist
Do not climb onto the roof, open electrical enclosures, or unplug solar equipment to collect information. Keep away from damaged equipment; smoke, sparking, or an immediate electrical hazard needs emergency help.
Solar service across DFW
We serve all of Dallas–Fort Worth and surrounding communities up to approximately two hours beyond DFW, with no travel fee. Send your address to confirm coverage and scheduling.
For local service details, see Dallas troubleshooting , Fort Worth troubleshooting , or Cedar Hill troubleshooting . Share the exact property address when arranging the visit.
Repairs, cleaning, and warranty questions are different scopes
Cleaning addresses surface buildup and costs $15 per panel. It does not include diagnosing an inverter fault. A repair quote identifies the specific work proposed; do not buy replacement parts based only on an app alert.
If you believe the concern falls under an existing Sun Ray Solutions workmanship agreement, contact us with that agreement for review. Manufacturer equipment coverage and another installer’s workmanship obligations must be checked separately. Our workmanship coverage
Has the system been down for months or years?
Bring the last known working date, current readings, and any earlier repair records. A long gap in monitoring is different from a confirmed equipment shutdown. Plan a review of a long-inactive solar system
