  • Frames and the drainage channels between panels cleared, not just the glass

Please don't pressure wash your panels. High-pressure water can force past the module seals and into the laminate, and once moisture is inside a panel it doesn't come out.   • Mounting hardware. Rails, clamps, and flashing — loose hardware and failing seals show up years after installation.
  • New shading. Trees grow. An array designed in 2018 for a clear roof may be shaded by 2026.

The most common thing we find: nothing dramatic. A faulted inverter that's been sitting in an error state since a power blip months ago, or a single string that never came back up after some other work was done on the house. After a storm

North Texas hail is hard on rooftops. Panels are tougher than they look — many are rated for roughly one-inch hail at around 50 mph — but bigger stones exceed that, and the dangerous damage is invisible. Micro-cracks in the cells don't show on the glass and don't announce themselves. They just reduce output permanently.
