QUOTE COMPARISON · DFW

Compare the scope.
Then compare the price.

A panel count and a total do not tell you whether two removal and reinstall quotes cover the same work.

Put the proposals side by side

Quote itemQuestion to resolve
Array scopeDoes the price cover the entire array or only the roof sections being repaired?
Existing conditionWhat observations or agreed checks document how the system was operating before removal?
StorageWhere will equipment stay, for how long, and who is responsible for handling and protection?
Mounting materialsWhich attachments can be reused after review, and which materials must be replaced?
Roof-ready handoffWho confirms the roof is ready, and what happens if the roof material or layout changes?
Reinstallation and checksWhat work and completion records are included, and how are unresolved items documented?
Separate workAre existing faults, replacement equipment, cleaning, and layout changes priced separately?
Written termsWhat are the payment, scheduling, change-approval, and workmanship terms?

Use one scope when asking for revisions

Mark any item missing from either proposal and ask for it to be clarified in writing. Do not assume a lower total includes the same storage arrangements, mounting materials, or return work. Keep removal-only and removal-plus-reinstallation proposals separate.

For an insurance-related project, ask the insurer which documents it needs and whether the proposed work is covered. The contractor quote describes cost and work; it does not establish reimbursement.

Sun Ray Solutions pricing reference

Our published removal and reinstallation range is $160–$220 per panel, with no travel fee. A 20-panel planning range is $3,200–$4,400. The written quote defines the actual scope and separately approved work.
