Use Red Oak’s own permit and inspection guidance
Red Oak’s Permits & Inspections division handles plan review, permits, and building and electrical inspections. Its published code information includes local amendments. Confirm the jurisdiction for the property and the requirements for your proposed roof and solar work with this department; a neighboring city’s checklist is not a substitute. Tell us what the replacement roof will change
Share the existing and proposed roof materials, any deck repair information, and whether the roofer expects changes around the array. Attachments and flashing need to suit the agreed roof and equipment. The quote should identify what can be reused after review and what mounting materials need replacement instead of assuming every old part will go back.
Plan storage if the roof schedule moves
Before removal, agree on a suitable equipment storage area and who is responsible for handling and protection. If the roofer discovers additional work, send the revised roof-ready date. Confirm the solar return separately rather than relying on an estimated reroof finish date. Photos of the roof from the ground help us prepare without asking you to climb it.

| 20 panels | $3,200–$4,400 |
| 30 panels | $4,800–$6,600 |
