Why panel count is not enough

Two homes with the same number of panels can have different edge lengths. A single rectangle is different from several small arrays on separate roof sections. From plans, a 20-by-30-foot rectangle has a 100-foot perimeter: 2 × (20 + 30). Additional sections and gaps can change the amount of protection needed.

Send an existing array plan or ground-level photos. Do not climb onto the roof to measure. We confirm the perimeter before approving the installation scope.

Ask these questions before approving the work

  • Which roof sections and openings will be protected?
  • What mesh and attachment method fit the panels and racking?
  • Will the method preserve required ventilation, drainage, and equipment access?
  • Are existing animal activity, debris, or damaged wiring present?
  • What cleanup, repair, or specialist work is separate?
  • What inspection and workmanship terms apply to the new installation?

Do not seal animals inside an array. Active nests or wildlife require an appropriate professional review before work proceeds.

Understand the cost of leaving damage unresolved

A guard estimate and a repair estimate solve different problems. If damage is already present, start with the animal damage and repair cost guide. It separates the $200 diagnostic deposit, unknown repair items, and an electricity downtime calculation.

For recurring surface contamination, request a cleaning scope too. Combining a review does not automatically include both services or a discount.
