Describe what you can see safely
Send ground-level photos of the affected roof edge and describe the activity, sounds, or visible material. Note whether it is concentrated under one section or around several parts of the array.
Do not reach under panels, handle wiring, or disturb nests to investigate. If wildlife is present, ask how the situation will be assessed and whether a qualified wildlife professional is needed before exclusion work.
Separate the work into clear parts
Ask whether the proposal is for guard installation only or also includes cleanup. If there is a production problem or visible equipment concern, describe it as a separate issue requiring assessment.
A barrier should not be presented as a repair for an unexplained solar fault. Nor should panel cleaning be assumed to include work underneath the array. Confirm the scope before scheduling.
Understand how critter guard is priced
Sun Ray Solutions prices critter guard at $5–$9 per linear foot. The protected perimeter matters more than panel count alone. For example, 100 feet is $500–$900 for the guard scope.
Share photos showing separate roof sections and any existing guard. We confirm the applicable rate and any separately approved cleanup or repair work in the quote. There is no travel fee within our confirmed service area.
Coordinate with other planned work
If panels are already being removed for roof work, mention the guard request before the reinstallation quote is finalized. Ask how the proposed attachment method fits the installed modules and mounting system.
If a guard is already present, send photos of visible gaps rather than assuming the whole perimeter must be replaced. We can discuss the requested work using the condition and layout you describe.
