Identify the exact reading
Save the array screen with the date, time range, units, and affected panel position visible. Say whether the panel is lower, exactly zero, missing, or marked with a communication warning. These descriptions are more useful than “one panel is bad.”
If your monitoring does not provide panel-level readings, do not try to identify a failed panel from the total alone. Include whatever system view you have.
Compare similar roof positions
Different roof faces and shading can give panels different exposure. Compare the affected position with nearby panels on the same roof face over a complete day, rather than comparing a morning snapshot from opposite sides of the house.
From a safe ground-level position, note any obvious obstruction or buildup. A photo can help describe the location, but it cannot establish an electrical diagnosis.
Explain whether the pattern is new
A position that has always read differently calls for a different conversation from one that changed abruptly after a specific date. If available, include a screenshot from before the change and one after it.
Ask the professional to verify the physical equipment associated with the displayed position before ordering parts. The module, connected equipment, and monitoring information need to be considered together.
Plan the service around the finding
A request to investigate one panel is not automatically a request to replace it. Ask what the assessment includes and whether a proposed replacement would need compatibility checks or other work.
Sun Ray Solutions can review your DFW service request using the app screenshots, equipment details, and access information. If a manufacturer claim may apply, keep the original documents available; approval is not assumed.
